Praise the Lord! I am a teacher. I think I was born a teacher. I am not a preacher, but I do feel I was called to “teach”. I believe I have a God-given talent for teaching.
I love to learn, and I love to share what I have learned. I enjoy the simple fun facts and finding the ways Jesus fulfilled prophecy. The way the Bible is linked together and how God opens your eyes to see more, the more you study. The Bible is called the “Living Word” for a good reason. God brings it to life. He will make it relevant to your life, as you open your eyes, to see Him for who He is.
Please note that I do not argue the Bible. If your intent is to argue a point I will not engage in the conversation.
2 Timothy 2:15-16
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. (KJV)
1 Peter 4:10
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. (KJV)
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)
I attend an Apostolic Church because what they preach, teach, and stand for aligns more closely with what I have found within my own studies, to be Biblical-based truth. I am not an expert on the Book of Revelation. I am a student of the Bible, as God teaches us all to study to show ourselves approved. I don’t have a degree in theology. However, I firmly believe in only teaching what can be proven and allowing the Bible to interpret itself. Because of this, you will find scriptural references to back up what is being said throughout this study.
I have a consistent relationship with God that includes daily communication through His word and through prayer. After learning to die out to my flesh and cast my cares on Him each day, I no longer have stress or worries about daily life. The greatest gift God gives to His children, who desire to know Him, is a complete piece in this world knowing my Father is in control of every second of my life. That doesn’t mean I expect only good things to happen. God allows the good, the bad, the ugly, and the wonderful times in our lives to mold and shapes us into something fit for Him to use.
I attend a One God, Apostolic church faithfully, but it is not the basis of my relationship with God. I study the entire Bible from Genesis through the Book of Revelation, and back again. I learned many years ago the only way to understand God’s word is to know God first. Learn to Know the God of the Book and He will reveal Himself to you.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (KJV) 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-12 (KJV) 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
I love the deep-dive studies into the “how and why” things were done the way they were done, such as Jesus going from town to town and then returning so often to Jerusalem. I wanted to know why Jesus went to certain places and what was important about Him talking to this person. You can’t learn these things just by reading. You must study the times and people, what they valued and what was going on at the time.
I wrote my first Bible Study in 1998 and published it in 2014. Through the years I have studied and gathered facts from many different places. I have traveled from Tennessee to Maryland, Mississippi, Louisiana, and all the way to Michigan to join special Bible study groups or services. I started this Blog to share the things I have learned along the way.
I hope you take what I say and go search out the truth for yourself. Please don’t just take my word for anything. Search and Look!!! When you search for Truth God will always send a spotlight to guide your way. I do pray that something said here will lead you to further self-study.
